Menu Plan Jan. 3rd

First menu of the new year! Ok, are you guys getting tired of hearing about the new year yet? It’s been two days and I’m getting there. πŸ˜‰

I’m completely stealing my menu plan from my bff this week. Well, maybe not the plan, but at least the source! She used this book last week for her menu and now I’m giving it a shot! The menu this week is courtesy of The Gastrokid Cookbook: Feeding a Foodie Family in a Fast-Food World. We are by no means a foodie family. I love food. Jeremy and Amelia don’t. Jeremy eats out of necessity. Amelia eats because we make her. Unless it’s “mellows.” Those she’d eat by the bagful all by her lonesome. πŸ™‚ But the title was so intriguing to me, that I checked it out from the library and found quite a few yummy recipes. I wish I had links! But maybe you should just go buy the book. Or at least check it out from your local library. πŸ˜‰

Here’s the plan!

Monday: House Church – taking these bad boys ( tweaking the recipe a tad)

Tuesday: Accidental Agrodolce Chicken ( pg. 79) with rice and broccoli

Wednesday: High heat Roast Chicken (pg. 68) with corn and baked potatoes

Thursday: Cherry Tomato Pasta (pg. 113) with crusty bread

Friday: Faux Pastor (pg. 76) basically this is tacos with fixins!

Saturday: Citrus Cured Chicken (pg. 72) with green beans and orzo

Sunday: Fast French Toast (pg. 144) with bacon and eggs

Yum! Can’t wait πŸ™‚

What’s on your menu this week?

As always, this post is linked up at orgjunkie.com. Check it out for more great menu plans!

  1. aaaaaaagh! I am soooooo going to try those cookies! I bet I could use gluten free flour?!?

    • Jessica! I read in the comments that someone did that and it turned out great πŸ™‚

  2. The faux pastor looks AMAZING! And completely in line with what my Mexican family makes when we come to visit. I bet it is fantastic!

the faux pastor was my favorite GK recipe πŸ™‚ they were all yummy, but frying up leftovers just warmed my heart in a really yummy way.
